It's been awhile since I've visited Jamaican Kitchen because we live so far. With that being said we were in the mood for some good Jamaican food so we took the 45 min drive (one way) to get the best South FL has to offer. As always Jamaican Kitchen did not disappoint!!!!. My wife had the curry chicken which she says was great (but didn't let me have a taste ). I ordered two dishes...yes two...one to eat there and one to taste and take home. I ordered the Curry Oxtail and Stew Peas lunch size. I'll start with the stew peas...the pig tails were tender and unlike most restaurants..the peas weren't salty which is a plus. I took a few bites and packaged it for home. The Curry Oxtails were simply delicious and like always cooked to perfection. Unlike some restaurants where you get a few tender pieces and some tough....these were fall of the bone tender. The Curry flavor along with seasoning used set this dish apart from other restaurants. I would highly recommend checking them out if you are in the mood for a great reasonably priced meal.

Support your local, family-owned businesses! Jamaica Kitchen is one of my favorite spots for a home cooked, affordable lunch. You can't go wrong with their jerk chicken with rice and peas or any of their patties. The ladies are always so friendly and have a good attitude despite being very busy. It's a small spot in a strip mall next to Winn Dixie. No indoor seating (but a few tables outside) so your best bet is to pick up an order to go.

Authentic Jamaican food for great prices. I've never been to the actual location to be honest I have only ordered out from them. Every year at LEAST for one holiday we order from Jamaica Kitchen. We basically get the most food to enjoy everything this spot has to offer. I have tried everything and can easily tell you it taste authentic and taste amazing. Their patties are el fuego. I love them spicy but will eat them both mild and spicy. Beef and cheese patties omg. Melt in your mouth good. I've also had the oxtail and jerk chicken. So good. They have the best jerk chicken. It's spicy but not crazy spicy. Their fried rice and pigeon peas are also superb. Really great spot to grab food Jamaican food. Will be catering with them again very soon.

Been here a few times, but haven't had a chance to review. This place is a hidden gem. I had the jerk lunch chicken portion as well as a (jerk) and (curry) Jamaican beef patty. Delicious food. They have a full menu with plenty of various options. Their soups look good. Will try those next! Place is always busy and they are extremely nice and welcoming.

This place lives up to its name in being a "Jamaican Kitchen" because outside of serving food there are a bunch of Jamaican goods that you can get there too! Definitely adds charm and makes this place a unique dining experience. Free parking is available within the lot, however this place does have limited seating inside, but you can always opt to eat outside or take the food to go. The place has a "hole in the wall" more intimate feel to it. Food was phenomenal! I was pissed when I looked down and saw that I cleared my plate. Oxtails were literally fall off the bone and paired so perfectly with the rice!Food was flavorful with a slight spicy kick which was super refreshing because my spice tolerance is low and I hate to feel like I'm battling my food. I'm not kidding when I say the plate was so good that I mentally checked out mid conversation with someone and could only focus on my food at one point in time. The portions were also good too; despite me getting a lunch plate I was super satisfied. The one and only critique I do have is the cabbage could've used some more seasoning. Also head's up I went in at 11-11:30 am and there were some items that were not available yet so you may want to wait until dinner to get a broader taste of the menu. Service was great! Staff was kind, attentive, and super helpful. Despite me placing my order within the restaurant it did not take long to get at all. They also packaged the food very nicely! The saran wrap helped to ensure I didn't have any leakage from the oxtail (thank God). All in all I would DEFINITELY return again. Great food, great service, great holistic Jamaican find.

I love the food here but I don't come often because it's expensive and I want everything!! Yesterday we ordered lunch from here because my husband's cousin was in town and she wanted oxtail and stew peas. Here's what we ordered for 6 adults & two kids: 2 quarts pumpkin beef soup Cow foot with rice & peas lunch Curry oxtail with rice & peas lunch 1 quart oxtail 1 quart of stew peas 1 escovitch fish with sauce on side 1/2 lb of jerk sausage 2 Ting & 2 Kola Champagne 2 beef patties Saltfish fritters Fried dumplings Everything was so delicious!! I ordered the curry oxtail lunch and the escovitch fish for myself but I also ate a fried dumpling and some soup. The pumpkin beef soup was so good!! It was truly authentic. So much better than when I try to make it!! Everything I had was like magic in my mouth. I ate 1/2 the curry oxtail and a piece of the fish for lunch but had the rest of the oxtail for dinner. I didn't want it to finish! I just had a fried dumpling with butter and the rest of the fish for breakfast. The main problem is that I want to order everything!! I can't just order one thing!! Everything is so good!! The mild beef patties are delicious too!! The crust is flaky with just enough meat. Sometimes we order a dozen and bake them when we want them. They need to update the online prices though because my bill is always more than what I think it's going to be based on the online menu.
